Recovery_ A Print Sale
On September 18th 2014, I was in a serious bike accident which caused multiple fractures to the bones in my face and jaw. I was hospitalized for 5 days and underwent major re-constructive surgery. This surgery led me to having my mouth completely wired shut and being unable to consume any solid food. I have created these images as an inspiring reflection to this on-going experience of taking in all of my meals and food through a straw. As I have been unable to work my normal jobs as a freelance art handler and preparator, I am using this print sale as a platform to help relieve the financial burden caused by this accident. These images have been a positive way for me to channel and express this experience of being on a strictly liquid-diet, finding inspiration through hard changes in one's life.
