“Catching a Breath”
On-going collection of annotating the vaporous nature of my breath on frosted glass. This work began as an effort to be present and take a moment to observe the breath in my studio and darkroom when feeling overwhelmed. By leaving sheets of glass in a freezer, the natural occurrence of my exhale making a momentary mark is stilled on the silver gelatin paper. These performative recordings have continued to be reminders of the importance to slow down and feel the calmness of catching a breath.
